Digicel Group Holdings Limited has announced the sale of Digicel Pacific Limited (DPL) to a subsidiary of the Australian telecommunications firm Telstra Corporation Limited. Digicel Pacific is valued at up to $ 1.85 billion, subject to usual post-closing adjustments and a three-year, $250 million earn-out.   Digicel Pacific has operations in six South Pacific countries: Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga and Nauru. INWIT, an Italian infrastructure business, has announced the deployment of its first wooden mobile telecommunications tower, made entirely of sustainable materials, as part of a two-year environmental strategy. The tower is located northeast of Milan, next to a large park and a major motorway.   The mobile tower’s construction is composed of glued laminated wood, entirely sustainable and circular material, an alternative to steel. Deutsche Telekom and Softbank in a share-swap deal In a significant shake-up that reinforces the German group’s transatlantic emphasis, Deutsche Telekom has reached a $7 billion share-swap agreement with SoftBank Group to raise its stake in T-Mobile US.
