Gamma takes on Telsis to boost its UCaaS offering

Gamma Communications, a rapidly growing provider of communications services to the UK business market, has announced  its acquisition of Telsis Communication Services, a UK-based developer of unified communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) products for small to medium-size enterprises (SMEs). Gamma anticipates that this acquisition will bring the right combination of specialist development skills and engineering expertise, thus helping the company to achieve its strategic goal of becoming a leading UCaaS campaigner. Ofcom announces another 5G spectrum auction for the UK in spring 2020 Britain’s telecommunications regulator Ofcom has confirmed that it plans to hold an auction for low and mid band 5G spectrum in the spring of 2020. Ontario, Canada-based Sangoma Technologies, a provider of Unified Communications solutions, has announced the strategic acquisition of VoIP Innovations, LLC (VI), a privately-held technology company in Pittsburgh, PA that specializes in wholesale SIP trunking. This acquisition, Sangoma’s eighth in the last eight years, is expected to provide the combined company with several strategic advantages, including increased scale, a recurring revenue contribution that continues to grow, an entirely new product category in Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), robust EBITDA margins, and a new sales channel. Bill Wignall, President and CEO of Sangoma, said, “We continue to look for prudent ways to grow our product portfolio, customer base, distribution network, overall sales, recurring revenue and EBITDA.
