Pure IP, a New Zealand-based international VoIP communication solutions provider, has launched its Dynamics Call Connect solution, which enables inbound and outbound calls to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service platform for a comprehensive omnichannel experience.   Customers can use Microsoft Azure Direct Routing to obtain numbers and external connections to enable inbound and outbound calls inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service in a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) paradigm.   Following the news last year that Pure IP was one of the first Microsoft Operator Connect launch partners, Dynamics Call Connect is the newest development in the Pure IP fold that strengthens the company’s Microsoft voice credentials.    Dynamics Call Connect makes use of Pure IP’s Azure Direct Routing as a Service offering to provide incoming and outbound calls for Dynamics Contact Center in over 43 countries, as well as inbound-only services in 137 countries, all from the cloud. Microsoft is expanding in the communications market with the introduction of their Azure Communication Services. This new service is a fully managed communication platform for integrating calls, chats and SMS into business organizations and their applications. Azure Communication Services allows users to develop new communication solutions or integrate them into existing applications, avoiding high costs, complexity, or time wastage. Voice and video calling, as well as chat services will be available immediately, while SMS and phone numbers will be released in October. Over the past few years, Microsoft has gained a wealth of experience in this area, thanks to the large success of their Teams service. Ofcom announces another 5G spectrum auction for the UK in spring 2020 Britain’s telecommunications regulator Ofcom has confirmed that it plans to hold an auction for low and mid band 5G spectrum in the spring of 2020. In a statement, Ofcom said that the auction will include companies bidding for spectrum in two different frequency bands: 80 MHz in the 700 MHz band and 120 MHz in the 3.6-3.8 GHz band. However, the UK telecoms watchdog has not yet confirmed when it will auction the high band, mmWave spectrum that will allow mobile operators to offer the truly transformative speeds of 1Gbps and above.
