The international telecommunications company, Colt Technology Services Group, has announced that it is releasing its Cloud Session Border Controller (SBC) in partnership with AudioCodes. This cloud-based voice solution provides Direct Routing as a Service to quickly enable PSTN calls for Microsoft Teams.   The Colt Cloud SBC provides an important step towards speeding up and simplifying the implementation of PSTN calling in Teams. With Direct Routing as-a-service, provided by the cloud-based voice solution, users do not require on-premises hardware or hardware in a data center. In its quest to deliver more comprehensive next-generation enterprise networks, the UK-based Colt Technology Services has launched two new features underpinned by its SD-WAN platform, VoIP optimization and support for IPv6. The company is an innovator and pioneer in Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV), running its Colt IQ Network that now connects more than 900 data centers across Europe, Asia and North America’s largest business hubs with over 29,000 on-net locations. Telecommunications giant AT&T and Colt Technology Services, a provider of network, voice, data centre and managed cloud services, have successfully completed the integration of MEF’s Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Sonata Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that allow business customers to virtually seamlessly order services across multiple carriers. The two companies claim to be the first in the telecom industry to use MEF’s LSO Sonata APIs to automate the ordering of Ethernet services.
