RingPlan making phone automation possible

With the addition of business automation to its range of services, RingPlan, a Southern California VoIP provider, is transforming the way people use their phones. VoIP phone services, video conferencing, business text messaging, and digital fax services are all part of the RingPlan platform. The newly-introduced RingPlan Sidecar is a user-configurable library of functions that may be used to construct unique automation sequences. Users may create up to 48 unique sequences that they can call up at any moment to execute a range of time-saving activities.

DT partners SKT to bring metaverse to Germany

SK Telecom (SKT) and Deutsche Telekom (DT) have formed a collaboration to provide Ifland, South Korea’s metaverse platform, to German users. The partnership will see the two conduct a live platform trial by the end of the year. According to reports, the test will feature the building of a virtual area within Ifland that is modeled after a specific German city. DT will also collaborate with SKT’s sibling company, SK Square, on cybersecurity and mobile app marketplace solutions.

Channel Fusion to debut an event for telecommunications and cloud 

The Charlotte Convention Center will host Channel Fusion, the leading trade show for the telecom/cloud, IT services, and communications hardware channel, on February 7-9, 2023. Channel Fusion brings together service providers, master agents, distributors, and IT technology vendors, as well as channel sales agents, VARs, and MSPs. The event includes participatory activities that promote networking, learning and business. AT&T teams with Intrado on emergency calling

AT&T has started rolling out location-based 911 systems across the country. According to the established operator, the technology substantially enhances the accuracy of emergency calls. Intrado’s technology locates devices before the call is made and is accurate to within 50 meters, a significant increase over the prior ten-mile radius provided by tower-based location. By the end of June, AT&T expects to have completed the national implementation of the 911 system.
