Sparkle, Italy’s leading international service provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with Tunisie Telecom, Tunisia’s primary telecom operator, to enhance international IP transit services via a new route from Sicily to Milan.
Tunisie Telecom, a frontrunner in Tunisia’s telecommunications sector, serves over 6 million subscribers with a comprehensive array of services, including fixed and mobile telecommunications, data centers, cloud services, IoT, and managed security solutions for both individuals and enterprises.
This agreement will see Sparkle offering high-speed international internet connectivity through its Milan Point of Presence (PoP). Additionally, Sparkle will provide dedicated capacity on its cutting-edge submarine cable, which stretches from Palermo to Milan through the Tyrrhenian Sea.
With this collaboration, Tunisie Telecom becomes the first operator in Tunisia to utilize a completely new, high-performance route to Europe. This development promises full diversification for Tunisia’s connectivity infrastructure, delivering superior performance and the lowest latency compared to existing networks. The new route is designed to meet the growing demand for advanced internet services and digital content in Tunisia, thereby offering an exceptional data experience for both consumers and businesses.
