The Vodafone UK and Three UK merger has progressed further, with the revealing of a strategic leadership team poised to steer the new unified entity. This follows the initial clearance from the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) in December 2024. The appointed team is now expected to oversee the final stages of the merger, anticipated to complete in the coming months.

Max Taylor, the current CEO of Vodafone UK and future CEO of the merged company, announced the management selections. The leadership team comprises Darren Purkis (CFO), Kelly Barlow (Strategy and Portfolio), Clare Corkish (HR), Andrea Dona (Networks), Nick Gliddon (Business), Stephen Lerner (Regulatory, Government Affairs & Company Secretary), Nicki Lyons (Corporate Affairs & Sustainability), Stephen Reidy (IT), Jon Shaw (Consumer Operations), Rob Winterschladen (Consumer), and Andy Yorston (Legal, Security, Compliance & Risk).

The selection process was comprehensive, ensuring the chosen individuals would best serve under MergeCo’s governance board, with both Vodafone Group and CK Hutchison involved. Although they will transition into their new roles once the merger finalizes, until then, they will maintain their current positions at their respective companies.

Max Taylor expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I would like to congratulate everyone on their new appointments. The new leadership team are all looking forward, following completion of our merger, to integrating our two companies and deliver on our commitment to build the UK’s best network for our customers.”

The merger aims to enhance network capabilities and expand service offerings. A unified Vodafone-Three is positioned to create a more formidable competitor in the UK’s telecommunications landscape, promising improved services for consumers.
