In a strategic move, Intel has partnered with private equity firm DigitalBridge to introduce Articul8, a new company set to bring enterprise-grade generative AI technology to the market. Articul8 aims to provide corporate customers with a secure and vertically-optimized genAI software platform, designed to run seamlessly on Intel hardware, including Xeon processors and Gaudi AI accelerators.
The launch responds to the growing significance of generative AI (genAI) in corporate strategies, with a Gartner survey identifying it as the top priority for the c-suite. The survey predicts that over 80 percent of organizations will integrate genAI in some form by 2026. Enterprises, however, express concerns about AI trust, risk, and security management (TRiM), particularly regarding the exposure of sensitive data.
To address these concerns, Intel asserts that Articul8 can deliver AI capabilities while ensuring the security of customer data, training, and inference within a client’s security perimeter. The platform offers flexibility, allowing deployment in the cloud, on-premises, or in hybrid environments.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger emphasizes the collaboration’s potential to deliver tangible business outcomes, stating, “With its deep AI and HPC domain knowledge and enterprise-grade genAI deployments, Articul8 is well positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our broader ecosystem of customers and partners.”
Articul8’s launch follows extensive trials conducted by Intel in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Rich Lesser, global chair of BCG, notes the successful deployment of Articul8 products for multiple clients seeking production-ready platforms with rapid time to market. The platform’s scalability and ease of deployment make it particularly appealing to industries requiring high-security standards and specialized knowledge, including financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications.
DigitalBridge CEO Marc Ganzi expresses confidence in Articul8’s potential, stating, “Articul8 has built a scalable and easy-to-deploy genAI software platform that is already enabling enterprises to unlock value from their proprietary data.” The venture has garnered support from various investors, including Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group, indicating a shared vision for the pivotal role of genAI in driving digital infrastructure.
