Singtel has announced a strategic partnership with Hitachi Digital to accelerate industrial AI solutions using Singtel’s Paragon platform. This collaboration aims to integrate Hitachi’s advanced AI applications with Singtel’s orchestration platform, which supports 5G, edge computing, and cloud services.
The initial deployment will occur at Hitachi’s Santa Clara R&D Labs, followed by a U.S. factory pilot. The pilot will test Paragon with Hitachi AI applications for quality assurance, workplace safety, immersive training, and pre-emptive maintenance. This trial ensures Paragon’s interoperability with Hitachi’s industry cloud applications, enhancing connectivity and productivity for enterprises.
The combined expertise of Hitachi’s industrial AI solutions and the Paragon platform’s orchestration capabilities will enable rapid deployment of these technologies. Hitachi Digital aims to market these integrated services as a certified Singtel Paragon System Integrator. This partnership offers a unique proposition for enterprises seeking to leverage multiple network protocols and enhance digital transformation in industrial settings.
Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo, highlighted the importance of reliable connectivity for Industry 4.0 operations. He said, “Integrating Hitachi’s advanced AI applications with Paragon’s ecosystem will enhance our suite of solutions for manufacturing enterprises and enable them to seamlessly transform their operations powered by AI.”
