Alkira has broadened its footprint by bringing its Network Infrastructure as a Service platform to the Google Cloud Marketplace. This latest move completes its presence across major cloud service providers, joining its availability on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The solution is tailored to offer advanced networking, robust security, and streamlined procurement.

This initiative allows businesses to seamlessly connect users, workloads, and applications across cloud and on-premise environments without needing physical infrastructure or complex configurations. “Having Alkira on the Google Cloud Marketplace is a critical step for us as it expands our reach and provides enterprises with the global scale, agility, and security they need to thrive in today’s dynamic environment,” said Amir Khan, CEO of Alkira.

The inclusion on the Google Cloud Marketplace simplifies the acquisition process and enables customers to potentially offset Google committed use dollars. Enterprises can deploy Alkira within their GCP environment for quicker implementation and accelerated time-to-value. This is crucial as companies increasingly depend on cloud infrastructure for AI workloads, necessitating efficient resource allocation and speedy deployment.

The introduction of Alkira’s Cloud Exchange Point (CXP) on GCP makes it easier for organizations to adopt advanced networking capabilities within the GCP ecosystem. “Networking is complex, and we simplify the experience for enterprises. By offering our CXP solution directly through GCP’s Marketplace, we’re making it easy for customers to access our comprehensive networking and integrated network services capabilities,” added Khan.

This setup helps GCP customers consolidate their software and service purchases on a single GCP bill, enhancing the ease of adoption of the Alkira platform. It also provides seamless integration of GCP capabilities with Alkira’s services, simplifying cloud network services across on-premises, single-cloud, and multi-cloud environments.

GCP offers a straightforward purchasing process, enabling customers to buy Alkira services directly from its marketplace if Google is their preferred vendor. This negates the need for an internal vendor procurement review, providing flexible billing models. Customers can either purchase Alkira’s offerings via their chosen channel partner or directly through the marketplace.

Alkira’s platform facilitates the interconnection of multiple clouds, beneficial for enterprises exploring GCP’s AI technology stack with data and applications residing with other cloud providers. The platform claims to be the only end-to-end, virtual network service enabling global user and application connectivity. Its features include full-stack networking, scalable networks, auto-detection of node and link failures, full mesh routing with automated rerouting, segmentation, micro-segmentation support, integration with third-party network security services, and high availability with Active/Active connectivity.
