NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation (NESIC) has made a strategic decision to partner with Cloudbrink, adopting their Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technology. This move aims to strengthen NESIC’s Virtual Trusted Overlay Network. By leveraging Cloudbrink’s global edge mesh, NESIC offers a cutting-edge, zero-trust networking solution. This network integrates advanced services, such as endpoint security and identity management, shaping a comprehensive managed service.

NESIC’s choice for Cloudbrink stems from numerous capabilities. The technology boasts high performance, robust security, ease of deployment, and streamlined management. Furthermore, the partnership between the two companies has been marked by a collaborative spirit, driving innovative service offerings.

Expressing excitement about the collaboration, Osamu Kikuchi, Senior Vice President of NESIC, stated, “Our partnership with Cloudbrink began over a year ago, and we have successfully introduced their award-winning service to businesses in the Japanese market. With this new game-changing service, we look forward to disrupting the traditional enterprise networking and security architecture to deliver enhanced security, simplicity and speed to our global customers and partners.”

The heart of the Virtual Trusted Overlay Network lies in its ability to provide ultra-high-performance secure network access. Independent tests back Cloudbrink’s claims of enhancing application speeds up to 30 times. Such improvements are achievable for both mobile and remote users on standard consumer broadband and wireless connections, all without needing additional hardware investments.

Cloudbrink’s global network includes virtual points of presence (PoPs) known as FAST edges. These utilize artificial intelligence to quickly identify the closest access point, typically less than 10 milliseconds away, ensuring seamless connectivity.

Prakash Mana, CEO of Cloudbrink, echoed enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “We feel honored to play a significant role in the Virtual Trusted Overlay Network initiative. NEC has been an outstanding partner and we share the same vision of making SASE work for everyone — less to manage for the network and security teams, a better experience for end users, and better value for the enterprise.
