US-based private 5G specialist Future Technologies has announced a significant achievement, securing more than $20 million in Industry 4.0 private 5G deals over the past year. Most of these contracts have been signed in partnership with Nokia, highlighting the strength of their collaboration in various industrial markets.
This development follows recent discussions where Future Technologies expressed intent to further expand their networking capabilities. They have outlined victories with numerous major companies spanning Fortune 100 to 5000 lists, including operators in manufacturing, port operations, and energy sectors. The focus on private 5G is evident, with applications in connected industrial systems and improved scalability for operational efficiency.
Reflecting on its recent strides, Future Technologies has also formed new partnerships with Dell and Intel. These alliances bolster its portfolio, although recent mentions of its collaboration with Ericsson were notably absent. This suggests a strategic emphasis on strengthening their relationship with Nokia, positioning itself as a significant player in deploying private networks.
The company’s Innovative Living Lab, located at its headquarters in Atlanta, plays a crucial role in its offering. Led by Gary Hill, a former tech officer at Georgia-Pacific, it functions as an advisory and innovation service hub. This facility demonstrates Future Technologies’ ability to merge consultancy with infrastructure management, promising robust private 5G installations for its clients. It also helps offer a comprehensive day-zero consultancy transitioning into day-two customer support model.
Executives at Future Technologies have reported remarkable growth in their sales pipeline, with an increase of 500% to $270 million. This impressive surge signals the company’s escalating influence and potential in the industry. Despite the competition from global integrators and telecom operators, their continued partnership with Nokia stands as a cornerstone for further growth.
Nokia’s North American head, Willie Kopp, expressed confidence in the collaboration. “Industrial markets are accelerating in the adoption of private cellular networks,” Kopp stated. “Future Technologies is one of Nokia’s leading partners in North America. It is distinctively positioned to help our joint clients scale up their production network deployments.”
Peter Cappiello, CEO of Future Technologies, echoes these sentiments. “We have been delivering private cellular networks for over 15 years,” Cappiello commented. “With our clients moving out of the blueprint phase and into production, the market is accelerating. Collaborating with Nokia, Intel, and Dell allows us to continue driving operational efficiency for our industrial market clients.”
