French telecommunications companies Bouygues Telecom and Free, part of the iliad Group, are collaborating with the Aduna alliance to enhance the adoption of network APIs globally. This initiative aims to integrate advanced network functions into various industries, fostering digital innovation.
Joining forces with Aduna founding member Orange, Bouygues Telecom and Free are driving this ambitious project. The goal is to ease access for developers worldwide to advanced network capabilities. Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, citing the benefit of utilizing aggregated CAMARA-based network APIs.
This collaboration marks a significant development for digital transformation across France. Network APIs, such as SIM Swap and KYC (Know Your Customer), are set to launch by Spring 2025. These APIs will enhance security and identity verification services, addressing a growing need for secure digital solutions.
Bouygues Telecom’s Chrystel Abadie Truchet emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership with other major market players like Free and Orange. The initiative is expected to drive digital transformation and innovation within France and potentially beyond. Rui Frazao, the CTO at Free, highlighted this partnership as aligned with the iliad Group’s mission to make 5G and network APIs more accessible to developers and service providers.
