Key elements of this partnership include the development of 5G edge AI gateways for industrial and enterprise applications, which will enable efficient data processing closer to the source. The partnership will also focus on creating edge AI devices, including PCs and AR gadgets powered by Snapdragon platforms, designed for on-device AI processing. These advancements are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency across various sectors through real-time, secure AI processing.
Moreover, Qualcomm intends to utilize its newly established Abu Dhabi Engineering Center to explore, test, and scale these technologies within vital industries such as energy, logistics, and transport. This local R&D support will ensure the effective implementation of AI applications in critical sectors.
