China Achieves Satellite Broadband Milestone in Race Against Starlink
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has completed construction of the first launchpad at its commercial spaceport in Wenchang, Hainan. The site will host CASC’s Long March 8 rocket, designed for satellite payloads, as part of China Satellite Network (SatNet) Group’s Project Guo Wang. Aimed at deploying 13,000 low-Earth orbit (LEO) broadband satellites by 2029, this move signifies China’s pursuit of a satellite broadband alternative to Starlink. With plans for additional networks, including Shanghai’s ‘G60 Starlink,’ China is contributing to a crowded space environment, rivaling the ambitious satellite plans of SpaceX and Project Kuiper.
Real-Time Monitoring Revolution: OmniOn Power Introduces Intelligent Distribution Bay
