Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk (Zurich) have entered into a strategic partnership to provide innovative insurance solutions. The formalization of this collaboration took place with a signing ceremony at Indosat MX Center in Jakarta on September 3, 2024. This partnership aims to integrate telecommunications and insurance services into a single application, enhancing accessibility and financial inclusion across Indonesia.
Ritesh Kumar Singh, Director and Chief Commercial Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, highlighted the significance of combining Indosat’s vast network and digital ecosystem with Zurich’s insurance expertise. “This strategic partnership combines Indosat’s extensive network and complete digital ecosystem with Zurich’s expertise in insurance protection. This combination will not only strengthen our efforts to deliver marvelous experience, but also extends protection for Indonesians, particularly in rural and underserved areas,” Singh remarked. He emphasized that leveraging the latest technology and a data-driven approach can significantly improve service accessibility.
The collaboration will leverage Indosat’s user base of over 100 million to offer various insurance solutions. Zurich will deliver its products through Indosat’s app, including reimbursement of postpaid bills and travel insurance for flight cancellations, lost luggage, and emergency medical needs. Future additions could include hospital cash plans and cracked screen insurance, aimed at providing comprehensive protection at affordable premiums.

Added benefits include the Free Postpaid Bill Protection plan for postpaid customers, which covers serious health risks and additional benefits upon purchasing a plan or renewal. Both companies aim to align their offerings with the specific needs of their customers, guided by the spirit of “gotong royong.”
