Vodafone has introduced a groundbreaking cybersecurity platform, Vodafone CybSafe, aimed at combating cyber threats arising from human error. This new tool targets small, medium, and enterprise businesses, sectors frequently hit by cyberattacks. According to a recent government survey, half of the businesses have encountered some form of cyber breach in the past year.
Developed in collaboration with CybSafe’s human risk management experts, the platform strengthens cybersecurity awareness and encourages secure behavior. Integrating AI, data analysis, and behavioral science, it assesses and advances employees’ cybersecurity habits. The platform leverages the world’s largest cybersecurity behavior database, SebDB, to deliver personalized behavioral prompts or ‘nudges’ to help employees avoid mistakes and follow best practices.
Furthermore, the platform features training modules empowering employees to detect and manage threats like phishing and ransomware. The emphasis is on SMEs, as Vodafone highlights these businesses often lack dedicated security staff. Consequently, cybersecurity can become an afterthought.
Statistics are alarming: 43% of cyberattacks target SMEs, with 60% leading to business closures within six months. Oz Alashe MBE, CEO and Founder of CybSafe, expressed, “In these businesses, people juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, and, as a result, cybersecurity can become an afterthought. Yet, these are the organizations most at risk if a cyber incident occurs and the ones most likely to face serious challenges as a result.”
The partnership between CybSafe and Vodafone aims to fill this gap by providing the necessary support to ensure cyber resilience.
