Sparkle, a renowned global operator from Italy, has forged a strategic partnership with Orchest Technologies, a leading connectivity and automation provider in Latin America. This collaboration, announced during the International Telecoms Week in Washington, aims to enhance their network coverage and streamline Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) solutions. This agreement emphasizes seamless network interconnection across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

At the core of this alliance is the interconnection of global optical and IP backbones. This integration will enable Sparkle and Orchest to offer reliable, scalable connectivity solutions. By leveraging MEF LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration) APIs, they aim to automate service provisioning. This introduces dynamic quoting, ordering, and delivery of services on a larger scale.

NaaS, as defined by MEF, combines on-demand connectivity with application assurance, cybersecurity, and multi-cloud networking. This is within a standards-based automated ecosystem. Such a foundation is critical as the telecommunications industry shifts towards on-demand service models.

Daniele Mancuso, Sparkle’s Chief Marketing and Product Management officer, emphasized the significance of this collaboration. “The collaboration with Orchest Technologies marks a pivotal step in our commitment to develop a truly global NaaS ecosystem,” he stated. He further underscored Sparkle’s global footprint and innovation capabilities.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Villalobos, CEO of Orchest Technologies, shared his optimism about the partnership. “Joining forces with Sparkle is a significant milestone in our journey toward global automation,” he remarked. The shared vision of both entities is to deliver an automated, transparent, and customer-focused experience. This positions them well to unlock new value across various regions.

One pivotal advantage of this strategic interconnection is the real-time serviceability it promises across partner networks. The potential to empower enterprises with agile, intelligent network solutions on a global scale is significant. As enterprises demand more flexible solutions, this collaboration could prove beneficial to numerous sectors.

As Sparkle continues to be a major player in the submarine cable industry with over 600,000 km of fiber, and Orchest rewrites connectivity rules in Latin America, this synergy promises significant advancements in the field of NaaS. The partnership epitomizes the modern telecom industry’s shift towards more automated, customer-centric service models.
