Mint Mobile has introduced free roaming services for all its customers traveling to Canada. This feature includes unlimited talk, text, and 3GB of high-speed data per month and is available on all Mint Mobile plans.
This announcement is part of Mint Mobile’s efforts to improve customer experience following its acquisition by T-Mobile.
Aron North, Chief Marketing Officer at Mint Mobile, explained, “Since joining forces with T-Mobile, we’ve been hard at work building an even better experience for Mint customers everywhere, and today, we’re pumped to bring free roaming in Canada to everyone on every plan.”
Previously, Mint Mobile offered free calling to Mexico, Canada, and the UK and access to T-Mobile’s extensive 5G network. This new initiative signifies a significant enhancement to the company’s offerings.
Additionally, T-Mobile recently introduced ‘Scam Screener,’ a feature that flags potentially fraudulent calls for Mint and Ultra customers. This move indicates Mint Mobile’s ongoing commitment to providing added value to its users.
Utilizing the new Canadian roaming feature is straightforward: crossing into Canada triggers an SMS notification confirming coverage. There are no activation fees or overage charges, as the service is included in all plans. Mint Mobile’s plans start at $15 per month without long-term contracts or hidden fees, allowing customers to cancel anytime. The company’s focus on transparency continues to distinguish it in the competitive mobile service landscape.
This update will automatically apply to existing Mint Mobile customers this month, aligning with their monthly data reset. This benefit allows customers to enjoy their Canadian adventures without the concern of excessive phone bills, enhancing Mint Mobile’s value proposition and customer experience.
