Entegro, an Irish tech company which designs and deploys fiber and hybrid gigabit networks, has announced the opening of its new Fiber Network Design Centre of Excellence. Based in the Danville Business Park on the edge of Kilkenny City, Ireland, the company’s new facility is set to create 50 jobs over the next 18 months. Currently employing 100 people, Entegro said it has immediate vacancies for planning and design, fiber planning, GIS and other engineers.

“We’ve nine different nationalities working on our 100-strong team here in Kilkenny, at our Dublin hub and in the UK,” said Fintan Shortall, Director of Business Development at Entegro. “From our headquarters in Kilkenny we’re building networks across Ireland, the UK and into the US. We’ve built a very strong team and together, we will significantly increase our turnover.”

Jim Doyle, Managing Director at Entegro, underscored that the company is passionate about delivering network growth for its clients. He commented, “Fintan Shortall and I have over 50 years of combined experience in this sector. We are proud to be the trusted, go-to experts in the planning and design of future proofed fiber networks. We’ve come through our own unification this year through the coming together of our telecoms services under the Entegro banner.”

In a statement, Entegro said that its growth has been strategic and well planned. The company is looking to win major projects in the US and Europe as part of its multi-million Euro expansion. Following this expansion, the wholly Irish-owned firm aims to increase its revenues that are expected to reach over EUR 12 million in 2020.

Every month, Entegro connects 30,000 homes and businesses in the UK and Ireland to high-fiber optic networks using its specially designed delivery tools to improve their client’s bandwidth capacity and content. In addition, the telecommunication companies such as Virgin Media, Siro, Fibrus, CTL, Enet and CityFibre have already engaged Entegro to help build their digital networks.
