RETN, an independent Eurasian supplier of IP transit and corporate communications services, has expanded its network and footprint in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The company offers communication services over its Eurasian network with short lead times, excellent uptimes and numerous levels of redundancy. RETN continues to expand throughout Europe and Asia and aims to provide the finest customer service and the highest SLA for fast, secure and reliable connectivity.
RETN has now established a new office in Finland, demonstrating the company’s long-term network presence and dedication to the area. Finland’s RETN backbone network presently combines six international DWDM lines and serves as a network transport center, linking the Baltic and Nordic areas to Russia and Asia. The RETN Group already has branches in Latvia, Estonia and Sweden.
RETN is also expanding its network by launching the Rezekne – Daugavpils – Vilnius DWDM line, which is one of the fastest communication routes between Vilnius and Moscow. By introducing a third varied route to Vilnius, the company also enhances network redundancy for the Lithuanian capital. On a wider scale, this route complements the TRANSKZ project by providing a redundant but latency-equal link connecting Moscow and Warsaw.
RETN has its own global fiber network, with over 800 points of presence and a network length of 120447 kilometers, which is powered by well-known players such as Infinera, Juniper and Ciena. RETN’s one-of-a-kind solution for linking Europe and Asia is built on its own homogenous DWDM infrastructure and a network of extensively branching land routes that transit Western Europe, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan to the Chinese border, and then to Southeast Asia.
Other recent RETN investments in the Nordic and Baltic area include sales, engineering and R&D recruitment in Sweden, Finland and Latvia, with the goal of strengthening current teams and providing both a local and global experience for their customers.
