Bridge Alliance and Singtel have partnered to launch the Bridge Alliance API Exchange (BAEx), a platform powered by Singtel’s Paragon orchestration platform. BAEx aims to simplify and standardize API integration for regional and multinational enterprises, facilitating seamless access to telecommunication network capabilities across multiple markets.
The BAEx platform offers a streamlined way for enterprises to deploy services using network authentication, user verification, and network quality APIs. This common API framework reduces the complexity of working with multiple telecommunications operators and accelerates time-to-market for new services.
Mr. Mike Heffner, VP of Enterprise Platforms at Singtel’s Digital InfraCo, emphasized the importance of reliable and high-quality connectivity for enterprises operating across multiple regions. He stated, “Enterprises that have operations spanning multiple countries and regions will depend on reliable, high-quality connectivity to meet their mission-critical business needs and ensure seamless operations.”
This collaboration has notable implications for enterprises in various sectors, including fintech, e-commerce, and over-the-top (OTT) service providers. By providing secure, consistent, and on-demand access to telecom network capabilities, BAEx supports diverse enterprise use cases, including network authentication, user verification, and location tracking.
Dr. Ong Geok Chwee, CEO of Bridge Alliance, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting, “Through BAEx as a single interface enabling regional consumption of telco APIs, we aim to accelerate telco API exposure to enable our member operators to serve the needs of enterprise customers.” She called for more industry players to join the initiative, suggesting that an open telco API economy is vital for creating new business opportunities.
