Celona, a U.S.-based private networks specialist, has taken a significant step in the Chinese market by partnering with Xingtera, a provider of industrial IoT solutions, according to a company release. The collaboration aims to introduce Celona’s 5G LAN solution to various industries within China, supported by Oriental Cable Network (OCN) and Inspur, which offer spectrum and core/edge server technology, respectively.
This strategic partnership provides a secure wireless connectivity option tailored for industries such as manufacturing, logistics, construction, oil and gas, and mining. Rajeev Shah, co-founder and CEO of Celona, stated, “By working with the right strategic partners to create this new option for private 5G deployments in China, we have captured the final frontier, offering global enterprises a powerful new tool to drive innovation and secure their digital transformation in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.”
Xingtera’s CEO, Yuqing Niu, highlighted the scalability and innovation that Celona’s private 5G network brings, enabling enhanced IIoT solutions. Equally enthusiastic, Yu Jie, Vice General Manager of OCN, mentioned that this partnership opens new opportunities for enterprises to harness the capabilities of private 5G.
This move comes as the global private 5G market is projected to grow to $14 billion by 2028. By expanding into China, Celona positions itself to meet the increasing demand for high-performance 5G networks.
Earlier this year, Celona appointed German managed system integrator Xantaro Group to introduce its private 5G system to European enterprises. Xantaro Group emphasized the applicability of Celona’s system for industrial applications like process automation and secure device connectivity.
In the Middle East, Celona partnered with STC (Saudi Telecommunication Company) Group to deploy its 5G system for digital transformation in sectors such as mining, manufacturing, and logistics. The partnership pairs Celona’s technology with STC’s cloud services, IoT solutions, and cybersecurity offerings, demonstrating Celona’s expanding footprint in private 5G networks globally.
