LightSpeed, a high-speed broadband provider, announced its strategic partnership with Neos Networks, a key player in UK business connectivity. This alliance aims to enhance fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) and wholesale services throughout the Midlands and East of England—regions historically lacking sufficient connectivity.

LightSpeed prioritizes outstanding Ethernet performance, utilizing 10Gbps XGS-PON technology for high bandwidth and capacity. Combining this with Neos Networks’ vast UK-wide infrastructure, LightSpeed broadens service availability. This development offers wholesale clients greater connectivity options and access.

LightSpeed operates through two main arms: LightSpeed Networks, handling infrastructure management, and LightSpeed Broadband, delivering Gigabit-speed internet to households and businesses. Areas across the Midlands and East of England benefit directly, thanks to expanded network outreach.

Through the collaboration, Neos Networks provides connectivity solutions like dark fibre and optical links, facilitating LightSpeed’s expansion into new regions like North Staffordshire. This allows direct connections to key data centres in London, Manchester, and Birmingham. Consequently, LightSpeed offers customized wholesale solutions, presenting a competitive alternative in areas lacking reliable options.

Neos Networks also supports LightSpeed Broadband in delivering fibre to a more extensive audience efficiently. Extending connectivity into underserved areas accelerates high-speed service deployments—effectively bridging the digital divide.

“This collaboration equips us with the flexibility and scalability to expand rapidly into new markets while staying true to our commitment to exceptional service delivery—especially in areas where traditional options like Openreach are unavailable,” stated Chris Tagg, Chief Technology and Information Officer at LightSpeed.

Lee Myall, CEO at Neos Networks, highlighted, “Our collaboration with LightSpeed is a prime example of how advanced network infrastructure can support providers in reaching underserved areas. By delivering tailored connectivity solutions, we’re enabling LightSpeed to expand their footprint and bring high-quality broadband to more communities and businesses.”
