As broadcasters grapple with the complexities of live events, Verizon and NVIDIA have introduced a groundbreaking solution at the NAB Show 2025. They unveiled a portable private 5G network framework, designed to enhance live broadcast workflows through AI and high-performance connectivity.

Central to this innovation is NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, leveraging AI Enterprise and Holoscan for Media. This setup smartly prioritizes video streams in real-time, ensuring that directors can focus on compelling content. By instantly surfacing key moments, the system enhances the viewer experience with dynamic coverage.

Last year, Verizon unveiled their enterprise-focused platform, combining 5G private networks with mobile edge compute and NVIDIA’s AI software. This strategic blend promises real-time AI services, supporting enterprise AI integration and providing modular, plug-and-play data solutions. Further, this setup can handle multiple tenants and deploy services both on-premise and remotely. “With NVIDIA’s edge AI capabilities integrated into our mobile Private 5G framework, we’re making real-time content decisions smarter and faster,” said Daniel Lawson, SVP of Global Solutions at Verizon Business.

The framework, designed for versatility, supports various spectrum bands including C-band, CBRS, and millimeter wave. This portability enables swift deployment across diverse venues, from big stadiums to isolated event sites, while maintaining connectivity integrity.

This collaboration underscores the potential of integrating 5G with advanced AI. It aligns with Verizon and NVIDIA’s vision of expanding broadcast production capabilities. Key partners like FanDuel TV, Haivision, and Ericsson were also integral to the broader demonstrated ecosystem.
