Juniper Networks has teamed up with ServiceNow to unveil a groundbreaking joint product that merges network and service automation, claiming it to be the first of its kind. The collaboration integrates Juniper’s AI-based Mist platform with ServiceNow’s suite of telecom-focused tools, including Telecom Service Management, Inventory, and Sales & Order Management.

This integration aims to deliver a seamless, fully automated solution for wired, wireless, and SD-WAN networks. The companies emphasize the system’s AI-native, cloud-native, and fully API-driven architecture, offering proactive operational capabilities for managed service providers (MSPs).

The fusion of Juniper’s AI-powered insights—drawn from its assurance tools across wired, wireless, and WAN networks—with ServiceNow’s automation features such as onboarding, asset tracking, auto-ticketing, and service resolution, is designed to streamline network operations. Deutsche Telekom has already implemented parts of this solution within its Secure Networking for Enterprise services, reportedly cutting deployment times and accelerating value delivery.

The overarching goal of this initiative is to enhance efficiency in network rollouts, reduce service interruptions, and lower operational costs. Juniper’s VP of Products, Sunalini Sankhavaram, described the collaboration as a redefinition of service automation, embedding AI throughout the operations lifecycle to simplify complexity and deliver scalable, high-quality services. She emphasized that the partnership empowers MSPs with agile, next-generation tools.

Rohit Batra of ServiceNow echoed the sentiment, stating that the partnership introduces a new chapter in service automation by reducing onboarding times and operational expenses while boosting service consistency and customer value.
