The increased hybrid working environment paired with the shift from copper wiring to fiber optic technology has been met with a steadily growing demand to move from traditional phone setups to cloud-based systems.
In response to this, HCS plans to assist corporate clients make a smooth transition. The telecom organization aims to introduce a dedicated business division to cater to this rising requirement, capitalizing on their deep domain expertise in IT and telecoms to provide a comprehensive solution.
According to Mick Foley, the Head of Telecom Solutions at HCS, the new division presents a modern solution to a contemporary challenge. He stated, “With this new division, we aim to address this challenge and enable more organisations to work from anywhere, safe in the knowledge that they are supported by a range of reliable and secure solutions.” Foley’s comment emphasises the goal of HCS to help businesses continue to grow smoothly during this transition in the business landscape.
The new business arm is set to have substantial returns, with HCS estimating to generate over €1.3 million in revenue and employ around eight people by year’s end.
This move comes on the heels of HCS’s acquisition of business telephone supplier Fixaphone in the previous year. The purchase consequently expanded HCS’s portfolio with an additional 750 customers.
