Nokia has deepened its collaboration with Google Cloud to streamline the creation of 5G applications. Leveraging Google Cloud’s advanced AI tools, such as Vertex AI and Gemini 1.5 Pro, Nokia aims to enhance its Network as Code platform.
This platform, now integrated with Google Cloud, equips developers with essential resources for building 5G applications. These resources include software development kits (SDKs), comprehensive network API documentation, a testing sandbox, and practical code snippets. The initiative follows a revenue-sharing model involving developers, network operators, and Nokia.
The initial phase of this expanded partnership targets the healthcare sector, focusing on improving telehealth services to offer safer and more efficient customer experiences. Both companies intend to broaden their efforts to other industries over time.
Ankur Jain, Vice President of Google Distributed Cloud and Global Telco Industry at Google Cloud, emphasized the significance of the partnership in a recent press release.
