Zoom has unveiled its new Education Ambassador Program aimed at enhancing the use of its Zoom Workplace tools in K-12 and higher education settings. This initiative seeks to create a network of educators and administrators dedicated to improving teaching and learning experiences through innovative uses of Zoom technology.
Initially, the program will include over 30 participants from North American educational institutions, with plans to broaden its reach globally within the next year. These Education Ambassadors will share best practices and creative approaches to integrating Zoom Workplace into educational environments.
“We are thrilled to launch the Education Ambassador Program and to collaborate with such a talented and dedicated group of educators and administrators,” said Johann Zimmern, global education marketing lead at Zoom. “Their insights and experiences will be instrumental in driving the adoption and effective use of our Zoom Workplace solutions in educational environments to enhance communication and collaboration and support student success.”
Kevin Reeve, Director of Teaching and Learning Technology at Utah State University, emphasized the program’s potential. “We deliver over 300 academic courses a semester with Zoom Rooms technology to 30 locations and campuses throughout Utah. We currently have 250 Zoom Rooms-enabled classrooms now and will have over 300 by the end of 2024,” he said. “This allows our faculty throughout the state to deliver high-quality interactive courses. I am honored to be part of the newly formed Zoom Education Ambassador Program and look forward to exciting networking opportunities.”
The program’s selected ambassadors span a diverse spectrum of educational levels, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and educational service providers. They will actively engage in sharing their experiences through virtual webinars and in-person presentations at various conferences and trade shows. Additionally, they will participate in beta programs, offering crucial feedback that can guide future developments of Zoom technology tailored for educational use.
