Datadobi has announced the launch of StorageMAP 7.1, an update to its advanced data management platform. This release follows the earlier launch of StorageMAP 7.0 and seeks to enhance user experience in managing unstructured data. The latest platform improves issues of data scalability and performance, vital components in tackling current global data management challenges.
StorageMAP 7.1 brings significant upgrades, focusing on scalability enhancements through its Unstructured Data Mobility Engine (uDME). A spokesperson from Datadobi highlighted the critical role of scalability in complex data environments. Addressing concerns around managing large amounts of data and numerous files and objects, StorageMAP 7.1 tackles these issues comprehensively, ensuring projects are met with success rather than frustration.
One standout feature is the HDI Archive Appliance Bypass. This innovation streamlines migration processes for archived data by bypassing layers that traditionally cause delays. This upgrade allows for multiple connections to storage systems and bypasses the archiving appliance, which typically slows data retrieval and relocation. According to the company, “Bypassing the middleware and reading data directly from the primary and archive storage systems, StorageMAP greatly accelerates and enhances the accuracy of an otherwise problematic migration.”
Usability is not overlooked, with StorageMAP 7.1 simplifying user onboarding experiences. The new version introduces sample dashboards that serve as examples for customers to craft their custom solutions. This adjustment builds upon the previous feature of customizable dashboards, encouraging a seamless setup process for new users.
Datadobi explains this strategy as offering customers ideas to mirror and widgets for training purposes, enabling quick value realization from StorageMAP. This practical addition to the platform aligns with Datadobi’s aim to provide enhanced and accessible data management tools for modern enterprises.
