Vodafone Business has formed a new partnership with Tech Mahindra to help UK companies adopt AI and newer digital tools.
The two companies aim to build services that address real business issues. These include cloud migration, automation, cyber security, data use, IoT and private 5G.
The move comes as UK firms face growing pressure to modernise. Many want AI, but lack clear plans. Others struggle with older systems, limited skills, or rising security demands.
Under the agreement, Vodafone Business will bring networking, connectivity and security expertise. Tech Mahindra will add digital change skills and sector experience. Together, they want to help firms turn technology spending into measurable gains.
This approach could appeal to enterprises seeking fewer suppliers. A combined offer may reduce delays and simplify decisions. It may also help firms link AI projects to core networks, cloud platforms and customer systems.
However, the task will not be simple. AI rollouts need clean data, clear ownership and strong controls. Many firms also need staff training before new tools deliver value.
The partnership also sits within Vodafone’s wider UK network investment. The operator continues to invest £11 billion in its UK infrastructure. That funding could support stronger business services across mobile, cloud and private networks.
VodafoneThree Business Director, Nick Gliddon, said: “This partnership with Tech Mahindra brings together the capabilities organisations need to move faster in a complex digital landscape.
“By combining Vodafone Business’ connectivity, technology and security expertise with Tech Mahindra’s specialist transformation capabilities, we’re strengthening our partner ecosystem and giving customers access to integrated solutions across cloud, AI, cyber security and digital transformation – helping them cut through complexity, build resilience and become more agile, competitive and future-ready.”
For telecoms teams, the announcement highlights a wider market shift. Operators no longer compete only on coverage or price. They increasingly position themselves as digital transformation partners.
That model can open new revenue streams beyond connectivity. It can also deepen relationships with enterprise customers. Yet it requires strong delivery discipline and clear service level targets.
Tech Mahindra, President and Head of Europe Business, Harshul Asnani, added: “Tech Mahindra has a deep heritage in telecommunications and extensive experience helping enterprises modernise complex technology and operating environments.
“This framework with Vodafone Business brings together our complementary strengths to help UK organisations accelerate AI-led transformation. By combining AI, automation, digital engineering and industry expertise, we will help enterprises modernise networks and operations, build resilient digital ecosystems and unlock measurable business outcomes at scale.”
The partnership signals another step toward AI-driven enterprise telecoms. Its success will depend on practical delivery, not messaging. UK firms will want faster change, but also lower risk and clear returns.
