Huawei will put a new smartphone on display in the UK this week, the Huawei P Smart 2019. China’s leading smartphone manufacturer is starting the year with this budget-friendly handset, comprising cutting-edge features, combined with a premium look and feel. The company says that the P Smart is “a mid-market device targeting young consumers who are looking for an affordable, high quality user experience.”

As the successor to the P Smart model launched a year ago, the Huawei P Smart 2019 has been improved with a larger screen, a front AI camera in an inconspicuous dewdrop notch, and a new TÜV Rheinland-certified Eye Comfort Mode, which filters blue light that can cause eye fatigue. The notably wider viewing area of the screen is 6.21-inch, with a 19.5:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution together with the support for 85 percent of the NTSC colour spectrum offers spectacular screen viewing.
The phone’s AI camera system, an 8MP wide-aperture selfie camera and two rear cameras – 13MP and 2MP, will intelligently identify up to 500 different scenes and allow them to be optimised in real time. Huawei AI Image Stabilisation, along with the wide-aperture lens, will help to stabilise images and eliminate blurry effects, thus producing clear and detailed pictures even in the dark.
