At MWC Shanghai 2023, Huawei showcased their new innovations and practices in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and software. The core objective of these developments is to ensure the digital intelligence transformation of various industries. This move is bolstered by Huawei teaming up with global carriers and industrial partners.

Within this framework of technological innovation, Bruce Xun, Vice President of Huawei’s Global Technical Service Department, underscored the company’s commitment to ICT service and software solutions. This is at the heart of their collaboration with global carriers to construct robust, efficient networks and steer growth. The focus is primarily on developing intelligent digital talent and transforming digital intelligence in the industry. Green solutions coupled with user-centric experiences round up this thrilling strategy.

Green and efficient integration forms a pillar of this approach. Huawei is steadfastly working on the dual-E (Energy and Experience) idea, aiming to lower carbon emissions and promote a circular economy. The company’s modernization efforts include expanding its site and equipment room services for operator networks. Last year, Huawei initiated a project aimed at reconstructing sites and equipment rooms for China Mobile Shandong, resulting in saving millions of kWh energy and reducing carbon emissions significantly.

In a world where complex enterprise services are the norm, efficient and upgradeable O&M solutions are essential. Huawei’s advanced ICT service package offers just that. Their AUTIN Solution, designed for zero interventions, zero service impact, and zero code development, has given China Mobile Tianjin a competitive edge, greatly boosting customer satisfaction levels. With intelligent O&M capabilities, AUTIN is also successful in proactively identifying network risks.

Huawei’s customer-centric approach also includes providing the ultimate user experience. Huawei has greatly assisted China Mobile Shanghai by proposing pioneering solutions that helped establish a service-oriented network. This included Huawei’s Smart Decision, facilitating collaboration between marketing and network departments, maximizing the value of promoters such as VoNR and 700MHz terminals, and improving network performance. Consequently, Shanghai Mobile achieved an 8% service revenue growth.

Huawei is a dominant player in powering digital business growth for operators, mainly through its Convergent Billing Systems (CBS). They’ve also contributed significantly to 3GPP 5G billing standards. Not only that, but their AI-Powered Contact Center (AICC) has transformed call centers, enhancing their operational efficiency substantially. Moreover, the company’s Mobile Money service has established itself as a reliable financial services platform, serving over 420 million users as of H1 2023.

Lastly, Huawei recognizes the potential of digital talent and has moved to develop it further through their comprehensive talent development solution. In 2023, Huawei allied with Zhejiang Mobile and created the ‘Digital Talent Maturity Model.’ This has paved the way for digital leadership training and alignment of technical staff with the evolving technological landscape.

Bruce Xun reiterates Huawei’s dedication to continuous innovation in perfecting ICT services and software solutions with a unique emphasis on delivering an ultimate user experience through collaborative efforts with global partners.
