Spectrum Enterprise, a part of Charter Communications, Inc., today announced a multi-year agreement with MiCTA (formerly known as Michigan Collegiate Telecommunications Association), a national group purchaser of technology solutions for its nonprofit members, including government, education, libraries, charitable and religious organizations. The arrangement makes it easier for members to modernize their networks and enhance the digital experience for consumers and employees.

“The new agreement leverages the purchasing power of MiCTA, which is beneficial for members as they advance digital services through easy to manage technology contracts,” said Tim von Hoff, Chief Executive Officer, MiCTA. “The Spectrum Enterprise services and solutions offered enable members to simplify their IT operations and save time in the technology procurement process.”

Spectrum Enterprise provides MiCTA members with pre-negotiated pricing for technology solutions that enhance network operations. These include internet connectivity (e.g., Fiber Internet Access, Spectrum Business Internet, Ethernet); managed services (e.g., Enterprise Network Edge Switch, Managed Network Edge, Managed Network Edge WiFi and Managed Network Edge Switch); security (e.g., Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection, Secure Access with Cisco Duo and Cloud Security with Cisco+ Secure Connect); Enterprise Trunking and Unified Communications.

“The nonprofit organizations that are MiCTA members play key roles in our communities, and it is important that their digital infrastructures are flexible and scalable to meet the evolving needs of those they serve,” said Richard Twilley, Group Vice President, Vertical Markets, Spectrum Enterprise. “Our agreement with MiCTA enables Spectrum Enterprise to more quickly help member organizations upgrade their digital infrastructure to address evolving technology trends, such as the growth in data-intensive and cloud-based applications and the network access and cybersecurity needs of a hybrid or remote workforce.”
