Boldyn Networks has successfully completed the acquisition of Apogee Telecom, a leading provider of on-campus connectivity in the US Higher Education sector. This strategic move enhances Boldyn’s offerings in the education market by integrating Apogee’s extensive experience and strong reputation with Boldyn’s global expertise and comprehensive wireless and fiber solutions portfolio. The acquisition aligns with Boldyn’s ongoing commitment to improving connectivity across the United States, where the company has already invested billions of dollars.

Apogee specializes in managed wireless residential and campus networks, IT solutions, fiber infrastructure, and video services for students, faculty, and staff. With this acquisition, Boldyn will now serve over 350 higher education customers, covering the majority of outsourced on-campus residential infrastructure connectivity in the US.

Igor Leprince, Group CEO of Boldyn Networks, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition allows us to extend our wireless capabilities in the growing US Higher Education segment. Apogee’s 25 years of experience and exceptional reputation will help us support educational institutions with the necessary technology infrastructure to excel in today’s digital learning environment.”

Scott Drossos, CEO of Apogee, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, noting, “As a Boldyn Networks company, we are dedicated to continuing to provide high-quality wireless services to our customers. The combined expertise in private LTE, 5G, and DAS, along with Boldyn’s financial backing, is set to revolutionize the connectivity industry.”

Christos Karmis, Boldyn Networks’ US CEO, welcomed the Apogee team and highlighted the growing connectivity demands at educational institutions. He pointed out that Boldyn’s experience in developing connectivity backbones for smart cities and large venues positions them uniquely to create the “smart campus” of the future.

Apogee will now operate under Boldyn’s US organization, reporting to Christos Karmis. This acquisition strengthens Boldyn’s expertise and reinforces its mission to harness the power of interconnected infrastructure, impacting various sectors including education, transportation, and public venues.
