Vodia Networks has expanded its integration with the Apple ecosystem. The move brings its business calling experience into Apple CarPlay, through a new iPhone app.

The update matters for mobile workers and service providers. It extends cloud phone system access beyond desks, laptops, and standard softphones. Users can now handle key business communications from a vehicle display.

The new iOS app launched on July 28, 2026. It lets iPhone and iPad users run a Vodia extension natively. The app includes calls, call history, chat, voicemail, transfers, call parking, and extensions.

Vodia has also redesigned the experience for modern Apple devices. The interface uses card-based screens, soft visual layers, and familiar controls. This approach should reduce training needs for everyday users.

For telecom teams, the CarPlay support is the headline feature. It brings essential PBX functions onto the car’s built-in display. However, Vodia has avoided turning the dashboard into a full office console.

The CarPlay layout focuses on four core areas. These are call history, extension directory, messages, and voicemail. Users can also access presence visibility, Siri calling, Siri-assisted chat, and voicemail playback.

This design supports safer working during commutes. Drivers can place and receive business calls with less phone handling. The system also adds confirmation before dialing, which can prevent mistakes.

Still, in-car communications need careful limits. Any dashboard tool can distract users if overloaded. Vodia’s restrained CarPlay template helps address that issue. Yet businesses should still set clear mobile calling policies.

“Since iOS 13, Apple has consistently provided a robust framework for multiple voice apps to function on the same device, across a large range of hardware and software combinations,” said Christian Stredicke, PhD, founder and CEO, Vodia. “Vodia has gladly used and added app features as they became available, and the latest addition, CarPlay, will help users use their time commuting to work more efficiently and safely.”

The app requires V68 or higher of the Vodia cloud phone system. That requirement may delay adoption for some existing deployments. Administrators should review version status before planning a rollout.

Vodia continues to target enterprises, contact centers, and service providers. Its platform supports cloud and on-premise deployments across Windows, Linux, and Mac. It also works with SIP devices and trunking providers.

For channel partners, the update strengthens Vodia’s mobile story. For users, it makes business calling more available. The bigger question is how far enterprise voice should enter the car. Vodia’s answer is simple: useful access, but not a full desktop.
