Singtel, the Singaporean telecommunications giant, is extending its reach by opening a sales office in Brazil. This move supports their strategy to bolster digital transformation for multinational enterprises throughout Latin America. Expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2026, this office aims to bridge the digital service gap between Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
The office will focus on software-defined networking and secure cloud-first architectures. The emphasis is on enhancing connectivity between Latin America and ASEAN markets, making Singtel a pivotal player in this cross-continental digital exchange. This initiative aligns with Brazil being a significant export destination for ASEAN markets.
By partnering with local telecom operators, Singtel plans to deliver advanced solutions like SD-WAN and SASE. This model enhances secure and efficient network infrastructure suitable for various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and financial services.
Keith Leong, Singtel’s chief customer officer for the enterprise, expressed enthusiasm about entering the Brazilian market, emphasizing its growing technology ecosystem and the country’s initiatives in AI and digital transformation. “We will start by setting up a sales office in Brazil, looking for partners that will provide the underlying network infrastructure while we aim to deliver the global orchestration, software-defined networking, and service layers, including CUBΣ, a network-as-a-service platform, which enables enterprises to centrally manage SD-WAN, cloud connectivity and managed services across multi-vendor and multi-cloud environments.”
Singtel already has a strong foothold with multinational clients in Brazil, like Nestlé. The new office seeks to deepen these relationships, ensuring faster local support and delivery. Enterprises will benefit from securely connecting their operations and managing networks across countries efficiently, thanks to Singtel’s robust service offerings.
Beyond this, Singtel’s ambitions include scaling its 50 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband trials. This technological leap supports burgeoning sectors such as augmented reality, cloud gaming, and next-gen digital services. The ongoing trials signal Singtel’s readiness to meet future demands in AI-driven applications and immersive media.
Overall, Singtel’s expansion into Brazil underscores its commitment to fostering long-term growth in Latin America. It seeks to leverage existing technologies and partnerships to enhance connectivity solutions that meet global enterprise needs. This plan signifies another step in strengthening its global enterprise footprint and carving a niche in emerging digital economies.
