Colt Technology Services recently announced the enhancement of its SD WAN platform by integrating multi-cloud access capabilities. This development aims to drive enterprise digital transformation, offering businesses the flexibility of connecting to various Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) through a single, seamless connection, which includes direct cloud-to-cloud links.

The shift from relying on public internet connectivity brings notable improvements. Enterprises now access superior security measures, enhanced agility, and reduced latency. Leveraging application recognition and traffic management features, Colt ensures optimal performance of multi-cloud services.

Underpinning this offer is the Colt IQ Network. This network connects over 29,000 on-net buildings and more than 900 data centres internationally. The company’s ownership of dense fibre infrastructure allows for seamless end-to-end connectivity. Public and private peering with major providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure guarantees traffic efficiency across different cloud combinations.

According to recent research by Colt, the timing aligns with market trends. An overwhelming 96 per cent of senior IT decision-makers are confident about transitioning critical business capabilities to the cloud. Furthermore, 86 per cent of enterprises are moving towards multi-cloud strategies.

Peter Coppens, Vice President of Product Portfolio at Colt, emphasized the importance of high-performance and secure cloud connectivity. “As more enterprises shift their business-critical workloads to the cloud in multiple environments, partnership with a capable connectivity provider is crucial,” he shared. He highlighted that Colt’s solution enables enterprises to focus on growth, backed by leading CSPs.

Supporting this notion, Kevin O’Kane, Managing Director of Partnerships at Google Cloud, remarked on the increasing adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud strategies by enterprises. He expressed satisfaction with Colt’s expanded capabilities which facilitate greater connectivity across diverse cloud landscapes.

Michael Wood, CMO at Versa Networks, a Colt partner, recognized Colt as a leader in performance and resilience across Europe, Asia, and North America. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Colt on their innovative multi-cloud connectivity offering, which leverages Versa Secure SD WAN.”

The multi-cloud SD WAN proposition is set to roll out across Europe, offering businesses an advanced pathway for their cloud endeavors. Colt invites attendees to meet them at the upcoming Submarine Networks EMEA event in London, scheduled for 27th-28th May 2026, for an in-depth understanding of this groundbreaking offering.
