Airtel Business has joined forces with Vonage to introduce Airtel IQ Business Connect, a new unified communications platform designed to enhance enterprise communication in India. This collaboration leverages Vonage’s cloud communication technology and Airtel’s network to create a seamless, continuous engagement platform. The cross-device communications solution ensures ongoing interaction between companies and their customers, particularly beneficial during staff transitions.

One of the standout features is the platform’s ability to operate across multiple devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops using a single interface. This feature prevents data loss and enhances customer loyalty without the need for additional hardware. Abhishek Biswal, Airtel Business’s Chief Business Officer for Digital Products and Services, emphasized the need for unified communication solutions that are compliant and efficient. He said, “Airtel IQ Business Connect will fill this gap by offering enterprises a device-agnostic, real-time monitoring application.”

Vonage’s Head of Applications, Reggie Scales, expressed excitement over this strategic partnership. He pointed out that the collaboration will enable Indian businesses to adopt a multi-channel communication approach, integrating voice and messaging services. This enables users to interact with brands from anywhere, enhancing connectivity and collaboration across channels.

The Airtel IQ suite, which includes this new application, is an omni-channel platform that allows businesses to connect with clients through voice and WhatsApp channels. Significantly, Airtel is the first telecom to operate as a Business Service Provider (BSP) for WhatsApp worldwide. The platform supports various enterprise needs, including those of hybrid workforces, enabling consistent communication across all stakeholder groups.
