Telenet has taken another step toward unifying its consumer and enterprise operations. The Belgian cable broadband provider has expanded its long-running partnership with Netcracker. The latest phase focuses on moving business customers onto one modern digital platform.
The programme targets SME and large enterprise customers. It will migrate their products and data from older systems. They will move to the Netcracker Digital BSS platform. In simple terms, BSS manages key business functions. These include billing, orders, customer records, service setup and product information.
This move supports Telenet’s wider plan to bring B2C and B2B operations together. Many operators still run separate systems for consumer and business customers. That often creates duplicate processes, higher costs and slower product launches.
However, one platform can simplify daily operations. Teams can manage customers, services and revenue through a shared environment. It can also give the operator a clearer view of customer needs. That matters as telecom services become more flexible and bundled.
Sami Chabbah, Vice President Commercial Platforms at Telenet, commented, “This phase focuses on…enhancing agility, scalability and customer experience, while accelerating the modernization of Telenet’s commercial platforms.”
He added, “Netcracker already understands our B2B architecture, products and the realities of our business after many years of successful partnership. Combined with hands-on delivery support and telecom BSS/OSS expertise, this gives us confidence in the long-term value we can achieve together.”
Still, migrations of this size demand careful execution. Enterprise customers often have complex contracts and tailored services. Moving them from legacy platforms can expose data quality issues. It can also create operational risks if timing slips.
For this reason, Telenet’s existing relationship with Netcracker could prove valuable. The supplier already has knowledge of its architecture and product landscape. That may reduce discovery time and help limit service disruption.
The programme also includes service management and orchestration. Orchestration means coordinating service changes across different systems. It helps activate, modify or retire services with fewer manual steps. This can improve speed and reduce errors.
Vash Diwan, Senior Vice President, EMEA, at Netcracker, added, “This program with Telenet highlights Netcracker’s ability to support large-scale business transformations involving platform consolidation and end-to-end digital operations enablement, which help deliver a superior customer experience.
“We are excited to continue our journey with such a pioneering operator, and look forward to much more success in the future.”
Across Europe, operators face similar platform challenges. Legacy stacks often limit automation and slow digital service delivery. Telenet’s approach reflects a broader market shift. Operators want fewer platforms, cleaner data and faster commercial execution.
If successful, the project could give Telenet a stronger base for innovation. It may launch offers faster across consumer and enterprise markets. Yet the real test will be execution. Customers will judge the change by service quality, not platform design.
