Singtel has unveiled its latest AI Cloud service, RE:AI, through the Paragon platform, advancing its vision of democratizing artificial intelligence. Targeted at enterprises and public sectors, this offering promises accessible AI without hefty investments in infrastructure and resources. This initiative aligns with Singtel’s strategic vision to democratize AI and enhance operational efficiencies.

The RE:AI service integrates AI-compute infrastructure like GPUs, AI tools, and diverse networks, delivered using Singtel’s orchestration platform. It simplifies AI deployment, management, and scalability while eliminating infrastructure complexities.

In pursuit of democratizing AI, Singtel collaborates strategically to drive AI innovation across sectors. They’ve inked five Memoranda of Understanding to support AI research and development, facilitate adoption in manufacturing, develop ecosystems for quick AI deployment, incubate tech companies, and enhance AI skills.

“With the launch of RE:AI, we’re significantly reducing entry barriers, making AI easily accessible to enterprises, government agencies, research communities, and academia,” said Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel Digital InfraCo.

Bill Chang acknowledges that organizational interest in AI faces hurdles like costs, environment needs for GPUs, technology complexity, and talent scarcity. The RE:AI initiative aims to overcome these, enabling AI integration in operations. Singtel also focuses on attracting global AI companies to expand into the region, positioning Singapore as an AI hub.

Aligned with this vision, Singtel plans developments in AI-ready data centers via its Nxera data centre arm. Partnerships with global and local ecosystem companies such as Hitachi Group in Japan and AI collaborations with Vultr and GMI Cloud are also part of their expansive strategy.

Tay Yeow Lian commented on AI’s role in improving operations and customer experience.
