Pac-12 has announced a new partnership with the leading cloud communications company Nextiva. Nextiva, also recently named the Best Overall Business Phone Service by the U.S. News & World Report, has become the Conference’s Official Communications Partner at a time when cloud communications are taking the business world by storm.

Nextiva joins the conference at a critical time for remote communications as businesses, educational institutions, governments and nonprofits across the United States adapt to a new “work from anywhere” model.

Nextiva has decided to partner with the Pac-12 because of its strong traditions, and excellence and innovation across academia and athletics. Pac-12 graduates have attracted the world’s most innovative companies, including Google, Nike, Costco, Netflix (Nextiva’s customer) and many more. Pac-12’s sporting achievements earned them the title of “Conference of Champions.”

Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott commented: “There is no time more important than now for the Pac-12 to partner with a leader in communication in order to stay connected. Our partnership with Nextiva reflects the strength of our Pac-12 athletic programs and Conference brand, and we look forward to working closely with Nextiva to support our communications needs.”

As a matter of fact, Pac-12’s partnership with Nextiva began with their own search for a next-generation business communications platform. The Pac-12 needed an upgrade to a modern business phone system that provided full employee mobility, key features such as video conferencing and team collaboration, and direct interchanges between customer and partner data.

This partnership is an important milestone for Nextiva, with the terms of the partnership giving Nextiva high visibility through Pac-12 football and basketball. The Pac-12 sports are expected to continue in November and Nextiva logos will be featured on the coaches’ headsets and in the sideline communication equipment of all Pac-12 football programs, with a prominent branding in all conference championships, Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, and the Rose Bowl.

Nextiva CEO Tomas Gorny said: “We are witnessing the extraordinary everyday right now. It is our great pleasure to partner with the Pac-12 and supports the great universities and businesses that are a part of it. We are excited to see what the future holds for Nextiva and the Conference of Champions.”
